The vibrant and developing regions of South East Asia and the Far East are an integral part of Jebsens’ business. Since 1983, the shipping expertise of Jebsens has been present in this region offering shipping services for various dry bulk customers and their cargoes. The primary commodities being shipped include concentrates, ores, fertilizers, minerals, salt and various grain products, to name a few.

 

In the last three decades, we have provided our shipping partners with the kind of service that few others than Jebsens can provide; reliability, punctuality, dedication and first class cargo care. The use of Port Captains in both loading and discharging ports has expedited numerous shipping operations across the region. In this area we are involved in a variety of trades spanning 12 countries, sometimes including domestic shipping services, in countries such as China, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Korea, Japan and Australia to name a few. The existence of three offices in South East Asia situated in Singapore, Manila and Melbourne keeps us abreast with our markets, customers and their various trades. Jebsens maintain a fleet of modern, self-sustaining, geared bulkers in the area. The vessels range in size from 15,000 to 30,000 dwt serving ports in our main loading areas in South East Asia and Australia.

 

By utilizing our experience and presence in shipping centers such as Singapore, New York, London, Manila, Melbourne and Bergen, JOSS also actively pursues opportunities in the market bringing together ships and cargoes as an added service to Jebsens’ clients in the Pacific region.
